If you are new to editing and don’t expect to be doing much more than one track of video, some titles, a few transitions and some music, try out one of the movie studios. For an investment of under $100, you can’t beat it. If you are looking to do more advanced video production, like picture in picture with unlimited tracks and special effects, go pro! It’s the most powerful for the price.

Many people are surprised at our choice of Sony Vegas over all the other Editing Software platforms available. After all, it’s not the most widely used and popular among the professional editors. There is Avid which is the most popular among broadcast and film pros. There’s Adobe Premier which runs a close second.
There are a few logical reasons we chose Sony which I have stated above, but I assure you, none of them have to do with Sony paying us, as some have imagined and suggested. I will say that Sony has been more than interested in the meetings I have had with them, and that the Sony Creative Software division has been more than helpful, with our site as well. They have even offered to help us with future seminars. But still that is not the reason we have chosen them over the other industry giants like Avid and Adobe.
