For a camcorder, it is very important that your tripod has a fluid head.  This means that when panning and tilting the camcorder, you will record smooth fluid actions as opposed to jerky ones.  A fluid tripod will give your videos a very professional look.

We have picked out two models for you.  The one in the low end was the most inexpensive model that still had great reviews from its owners.

Our pick in the medium range is by Manfrotto.  A widely used tripod company that is used by event videographers wifely.  I have been using their products for years and have been very satisfied.  If you don't mind paying a little extra, I say go with the Manfrotto!
